Feedback provided to tutee: After having the tutee read and reread a poem, I had her answer four corresponding comprehension questions.
Lessons about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that poetry is great for intensive reading. However, though the student is a good reader, in hindsight I should have chosen a poem that wasn't quite so difficult for this tutee. I was happy that its difficulty didn't detract from her enjoyment in reading it.
