Monday, February 27 I tutored my child tutee for one hour.  In previous sessions, she had asked the names of various household items.  I decided to make vocabulary flashcards for household items.  First, we reviewed the picture and the word together.  I would ask "what is this used for?" and we would briefly discuss the word.  As a kinetic activity we reinforced the vocabulary by playing a game where I called out the item and the children would have to go find the object in the house.  When the family moved in, I was there to help set up the house which was helpful for knowing which household items they did, and did not have.  The children all really enjoyed searching around the house.  I look forward to the next!
