Justin Stevenson TS#2

Tutee: Seongeun Im
Date: Jan. 21
Time: 1-2 p.m.
Location: a bench outside the college of Human Sciences (across the street from CIES)
Topic/Skill: Phrasal verbs
Feedback provided to tutee: I provided feedback in the form of a fill-in-the-blank worksheet and quiz. I had the tutee compete both after I had introduced the topic, given examples of frequently used phrasal verbs, and explained their meaning. I, furthermore, presented the tutee with a phrasal verbs handout for her to keep and use as a reference.
Lessons about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that the tutee needed help in other areas of English, namely reading, as she seemed to effortlessly understand the lesson. Though I know she benefited from at least some of the lesson, I learned how difficult it can be to know where to begin when tutoring.
