Feedback provided to tutee: I read a few more pages of the tutee's writing and gave her notes on how to revise her paper.
Lessons about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: I learned that the tutee was having trouble with certain sections of her paper; she wasn't sure whether to cut them or keep them. I learned that there are limits to how much one can help. I advised her to make the decision on what to cut when I wasn't sure; after all, she is the expert on ethnomusicology.
