Topic/Skill: Intensive and extensive reading. My tutee and I read stories, trading reading duties after each paragraph (so she could hear my pronunciation). During the latter half of the lesson, I had my tutee reread the stories we'd read at a faster rate.
Feedback provided to tutee: During the intensive reading portion of the lesson, I asked the tutee to recall specific details after we had finished reading a story; I asked her to recall general info contained in the story during the extensive portion of the lesson.
Lessons about tutoring and/or the tutee you learned: To limit confusion, it might be best to stick with a reading lesson plan that's either intensive or extensive.
