Aileen CP#5

During Bob's get together I managed to meet up with two other conversation partners, one from South Korea and another from China. Amongst the beverages that aided us in lowering our affective filters we were able to play hangman using America as the main theme. Such words we revealed were Freedom, Democracy, and Fireworks and it was interesting to see just how many things we have come to associate with America. While we began setting up for the next game I started to get to know more about the Chinese conversation partner by going on to say that I had majored in Japanese. She thought it was really cool and laughed as she mentioned some Japanese expressions she had known. She found it a very difficult language to pronounce which I found shocking because I had the exact opposite perception when it comes to Chinese due to the fact that its a very tonal language. Apart from that we played another game that was on someone's phone that involved guessing the word by dropping hints. For the two middle eastern second language English learners we thought this would be a difficult feat but they ended up doing a really good job.
