Kailon TS #1

Today, I met with one of my adult tutees. We spent time introducing ourselves and getting to know each other.  My tutee is from Burkina Faso. She has a sister that lives in Tallahassee and attends classes at TCC. My tutee told me that her sister also took English courses with the Center for Intensive English Studies two years ago. I was surprised at how well my tutee was able to communicate in English. However, she needs improvement in her pronunciation and vocabulary. Her native language is French. She told me that her main objective was to be able to pass the TOEFL exam. I definitely enjoyed meeting her for the first time and look forward to seeing her again. Due to the fact that our schedules hardly coincide, we have to do two tutoring sessions each time we meet.
