Jack Buck TS#2

I met with my tutee, Claudia Malave, at Strozier Library on Thursday, January 19th. We mostly both introduced ourselves and got to know a little bit about each other. We went over the needs-based assessment, and I identified that she really needs help in reading comprehension. However, I also want to help her with speaking, as I think she has difficulty connecting and forming sentences. She also told me that she was scared of walking all the way to Strozier Library, and so I told her that I can definitely meet her closer to her home. Therefor, next week we agreed to meet at a local pub near where she lives. Beyond that, she mentioned that she doesn't really have any English/American friends or roommates that she can talk to. As a result, I think simply speaking with her will improve her English.
