On January 18, 2017 I observed Ms. Victoria's Reading 3B from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM. The teacher immediately established a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The teacher first suggested that I introduce myself to the students. After i introduced myself; they, in turn, introduced themselves as well. During the class, the teacher gave a vocabulary quiz. the quiz consisted of: multiple choice, matching, and giving definitions. After the quiz, the teacher made the students get into groups of three and discuss and summarize the main ideas for the weekly "reading logs" that they had to do. The teacher emphasized "asking questions" and "finding solutions" to those questions. The teacher also applied the "real-world" examples to the readings, and made the students discuss solutions for the "Tallahassee (FSU) Transportation/ Bus Problem". I personally agreed with the teacher's methodology in regards to encouraging the students to really analyze and think critically about what they read. Students also had to propose solutions for various problems. Also, the class was interrupted because of the fire drill.
