Julia CP #4

Today, February 12, I met with Yousef for the second time. We met at Starbucks and first worked on a questionnaire assignment that Yousef had, with simple questions for him to ask his conversation partner or friend. This was the first time that I realized that he struggled with writing and spelling, and I helped him a little bit with his spelling. We then talked about traveling and places that we have been to, and we also talked about driving and flying in planes. I thought it was interesting when he told me that in class, he learns and studies English but does not speak with his classmates much in English. He also does not practice much English at home because he lives with his brother, and so he was telling me that he likes to practice his English in casual settings like our meetings.
