Adult Tutoring Session: Angela

7:00pm-8:00pm
Her House
This was the second time I tutored Angela. The difference with this time was that her daughter was not there so we had to work really hard to make sure we were understanding each other. I spoke between English/ Spanish most of the time, but I would still repeat everything back in English. We had a short review on the things we went over last time. We began using the I HAVE and its conjugations. We practice pronunciation of certain words because she was having trouble saying specific words such as the WASH in Washington. After every sentence I provided as an example, I would ask her to give me an example. I told her that the best way to learn was to be as exposed to other people speaking English as possible and to not rely on her kids to ask questions because then she was going to get used to it and it would only hurt her later on.
