Simon Kennell TS #13

Today I met with my child tutee Victor. We met at 4:30 at his family's apartment. Today we continued our learning on days of the week and body parts. We also started to discuss telling time. This was an interesting thing to teach because he seemed to pick it up pretty quickly so perhaps he has had experience with telling time before. Although most of the other children in the family joined in the lesson, it did not hamper the progress and pace of the lesson. One issue that I am having is trying to keep the children only speaking English. The children seem to automatically revert back to their native language as soon as they are having problems with a specific word or phrase. I will be looking onto how I can persist in English immersion for children.
