Saad and I met at Strozier on Monday. (1/30, 3:30-5:00 PM)
The original plan was to practice pronouns, so I printed out a resource I found online that I thought would be helpful for him. We ended up spending most of the time going over the simple past tense. He had almost no problem remembering the structure of the tense, especially the verbs that only need the suffix "-ed" to change them. The most confusing part for him was remembering irregular verbs such as "go/went" and "teach/taught" and keeping the simple form of the verb for negations (ex. "She didn't go" instead of "She didn't went.") I unfortunately couldn't think of any tricks for him to remember the irregulars. Next time, I'll bring some flash cards and we'll write down the most common ones.
