Today I met with my child tutee for our third session. Victor has become much more open with his dialogue and is showing improvement in sentence structure. He is still answering in incomplete sentences and I am working with him on understanding how to respond in complete sentence structure. We reviewed different colors, body parts (heads, shoulders, knees and toes), and practice a few simple sentences that he can use at school. We have continued to use physical activity as our means of breaking the ice each session. I feel that it works for him to feel more comfortable and lowers his filter. Although his English is very basic, there are constant signs of improvement and he is a very quick learner.
