During this tutoring session, one of my adult tutees (Amaury) and we discussed composition and comprehension skills. He showed me one of his tests in which he got points marked off for a few mistakes that he made. He did not really understand why the errors were wrong. I explained the errors to him, and helped him come up with various ways to express a particular idea. I told him that if he can't figure out how to express himself in one manner, then he should try a different approach or perspective to addressing the idea.
