Kailon CP #6

During our final conversation, my conversation partner and I discussed what he enjoyed about the conversation program. Jean told me that he had been in the conversation partner program two times before this session. However, his conversation partners never met with him and he did not get to practice speaking English with anyone. Nevertheless, he enjoyed this session and felt that he had the opportunity to converse about mature topics that would be customary for higher level speakers (i.e. politics, culture, traditions, national heroes and artists, civil and political unrest, slavery, etc). Jean thanked me for being his conversation partner. Overall, I must say that I also enjoyed these conversation partner meetings and appreciated having the opportunity to learn about a culture that is different from my own.
