Aileen TS#3

I just finished my Skype tutoring session and as always I started out first by asking what topic he wanted to talk about. At this time I am currently in Miami for a job interview I have on Monday so I started off by telling him that. From there having known that he previously expressed interest in traveling to Florida I asked him about some of the things he would like to do here. I set up some questions about the places he wanted to visit if he came here and he mentioned the beaches and Orlando. Having been born in Miami and visited Orlando's theme parks throughout my whole life I was able to provide him with the detail of how the parks in Orlando breakdown. I asked him if he liked rollercoasters and we both came to an understanding of not liking them. He then added that he wanted to go visit the Disney castle because he always remembered seeing them  during the intros of the films he watched as a kid. He started laughing to himself and I wasn't sure whether it was out of embarrassment having confessed that he enjoyed watching the "young Disney movies" but I was able to take that time teach him a vocabulary word that was a better fit: "to gear" To gear as in any kind of media/product/etc that is made for a target audience, in this case being kids. For most of this session I provided new vocabulary while listening to him express his aspirations for visiting Florida.
