I met with my conversation partner on, Monday, January 16. Her name is Yuan Haiping.  We met at Starbucks during the morning. We mostly talked about school. She is from Guandong, China, and I am planning to go to China after I graduate. She told me about a school in the Southern part of China that would have a good international program. We talked a little bit about food in the Southern part of China compared to food in the Northern part of China. She doesn't like spicy food so I recommended some Chinese restaurants in Tallahassee. We didn't discuss a lot of the differences between American culture and Chinese culture, because I'm already familiar with a lot of them. Her major is Sociology so we why she chose sociology. Then she told me about her boyfriend in England. It was a basic introductory chat, we just talked about hobbies and school and food.
