Simon Kennell TS #12

Today I met with my adult tutee at CIES around 12:00 noon. We reviewed a couple of dialogues and worked on verb conjugation as well. Pronunciation is becoming a more and more focal point of our sessions because it seems to definitely slow down his speech rate. Because v's and b's are difficult for him, we practice pronouncing words with those characters several times during our different exercises and dialogues. One of the cool things about focusing on speech rate and dialogue use is how his beautiful mistakes are very clear to both me and him.. This makes it easier for us to discuss correction and now we are getting to the point where he is starting to self correct which I believe really shoes that he is making progress.
