Composition

The focus on this class was on writing. Most of the time, students were presented with a scenario. For example, the teacher created the scenario that if the student was in an island by themselves what would be around them. They had 15 minutes to write what the student saw in the island, as if they were there. They had to be descriptive of everything they could. The purpose of this exercise was to create student's writing fluency. The professor was not going to focus too much on accuracy, but on how much they could write and the ideas they could come up during a timed exercise. After this some students read some of their writing exercises. She gave feedback when it was necessary and knew everyone's names. She tried to integrate the students as much as she could. Wrote objectives of the day on the board and went over them before class began. Provided everyone with resources when teaching them a lesson.
